Alternative Projection of the Carbon Dioxide Emission for 10 Countries and Regions - In Comparison with the 2013 International Energy Outlook

A projection of future carbon emission is a vital input in influencing climate change for the world as well as for individual country and region. We provide alternative projections of future carbon dioxide emission and compare our projections with those from the International Energy Outlook report (2013) for seven countries and three region -- China, U.S., India, Japan, Brazil, South Korea, Canada, Europe and Eurasia, Middle East and Africa. For the projection methodology, we use kinked experience curve model. We find that the EIA’s projections are significantly lower than ours in nine countries and regions with the exception of Japan
