An advanced solar charging and battery discharge controller unit
The encouraging advances in photovoltaic technology have led to the increased use of solar power as an alternative and renewable source of electricity. However, the very nature of this source poses various challenges to control technology. The solid-state device proposed here offers substantial improvement in many aspects. It is designed to be used as a controller to both charge and discharge lead-acid batteries which act as power reserve. The units' strong points are very low-cost, small size, efficiency, and above all good scalability.
