An Analysis of the Benefits of Cloud Services for Supply Chain Using Analytic Hierarchy Process

Cloud computing is one of the computing techniques being widely used in the industry for various services. A cloud service offers advantages of agility, quick response, and lower operational cost, along with various other service benefits. These services are useful in meeting the challenges posed by the ever demanding customer in the supply chain. The demands are sometimes dynamic in nature depending on the changing market conditions. Hence, there is a need to analyze the service benefits of cloud. The analysis of the benefits helps in deciding an appropriate combination of services that can be used to speed up supply chain processes. This paper focuses on the cloud services that can be considered for enhancing the performance of the supply chain. The analysis of the major benefits of cloud computing in supply chain is done using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). This analysis helps in prioritizing the various advantages of cloud computing that enhance the performance of a supply chain network. The findings help enterprises to offer an efficient cloud service to the supply chain industry. Such services will be referred to as Cloud Computing Service for Supply Chain (CCSSC) network.
