An Empirical Analysis of Relationship between Corruptions and Public Expenditures : The Turkish Case

Corruption, which is described as the use of public power for individual purposes and which affects many areas of society’s life, is theoretically assumed to also have effect on the provision of public resources. This study analyzes relations between corruption and public expenditures in Turkey for the period of 1982-2003, by applying least square method. Empirical results show that there is same way relations between corruption and public expenditures in Turkey for the period applied.
