Analisis Pengaruh Struktur Modal terhadap Nilai Perusahaan Melalui Profitabilitas Sebagai Variabel Intervening pada Perusahaan Manufaktur di Bursa Efek Indonesia

The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of capital structure to firm value through profitability as intervening variable at manufacturing company in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Population from this research is all manufacturing company which listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange, at a period time of 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Sample selected by using method of purposive sampling amount to 30 company. Data obtained on the basis of the publication of Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD).Variable used is capital structure as independent variable, firm value as dependent variable, profitability as intervening variable. First Hypothesis examination, influence of capital structure to company value use the simple linear regression. Second Hypothesis examination, influence of capital structure to firm value through profitability use the simple linear regression with Baron and Kenny model.Result of this research prove that capital structure have an effect on positively and significant to firm value. Capital structure have an effect on to firm value through profitability as full intervening variable.
