Analysis of Behaviour Patterns of Middle Level Managers Using Firo-B

It has been observed that the major blocks to enterprise innovativeness and excellence are internal: conservative and bureaucratic cultures and structures, communications problems, and administrative inflexibility. Thus what is required of the managers/ teams working on various organizational dimensions are to remove these barriers and work collectively with trust to create a win-win situation. This study conducted on middle manager level participants in 4 different organizations. Stratified random sampling was done to select a particular organization and the middle manager participants to undertake the FIRO-B test. The FIRO-B analysis findings from this research would serve as a guide for the top management to form compatible teams. Individuals undergoing the FIRO-B analysis would be able to identify the options for increasing their job satisfaction and productivity. The report can be used by the top management for career development of their employees, explaining team roles, improving team effectiveness and identifying leadership operating styles
