Application of TOPMODEL to Barchinala Catchment

The mathematical catchment model, TOPMODEL, was used to simulate the hydrological behavior of a head water catchment of Kali river in Karnataka. Results indicate that the model can be used to simulate the flows on a daily time step in the moist catchment quite accurately (the efficiency of the model is 0.80 and 0.72, respectively, in calibration and validation run). The model provides a good agreement of simulated and observed timing and magnitude of the peak flows
