Artificial Intelligence and Human Resource Management : A Conceptual Framework

In this competitive world, it is vital for organizations to survive and remain competitive; so AI can be a tool in doing the same. From long time ago, organizations are using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to automate different tasks specially those which need low to high cognitive. HR department is not an exception. Nowadays, if we see how organizations actually function and read literature (practical and theoretical), we can understand that AI already has emerged; and organizations are using it in order to automating different tasks. In this paper, we discuss how HRM has been practiced before the AI era, and why HRM changed to AI-HRM. Conceptual framework has been used to show the relationship between AI technology application with HR functions (recruitment and deployment, training and development, performance management, compensation management, and employee relationship). This paper is trying to help organizations and scholars to understand and update their knowledge regarding how AI technology practices change HRM
