Asian and Pacific developing economies : performance and issues
V. G. Bhatia
After reviewing the economic growth performance and the quality of life in several countries of Asia and the South Pacific, the study discusses contributions to growth by major economic sectors, productivity of investment and potential for growth and policy issues. The author notes that while the external environment is one factor in determining the growth of the rate of the GDP, for most developing countries it is not of such importance as often assumed.
