Backlash simulation in D.C. electronic analogue computers
After describing two circuits for the simulation of a hysteresis curve, the author describes an harmonic study of a simulator which entails the application of an harmonic signal at the input and to observe the output signal on the screen of an oscilliscope. These tests carried out while varying the system parameters have shown that the simulator has a satisfactory characteristic so long as the loop gain is greater that a certain minimum value determined by experience. Results of measurements carried out on one of the circuits described are shown in a table.
