Beyond Pessimism: Analysing Prospect for Asian Regionalism with Cooperation Between India, China and ASEAN

This paper present a case that Asian regionalism is possible provided India and China cooperate with each other and this process is also supported by the ASEAN. While accepting practical intricacies related to Sino-India relation that is also discussed in this paper, there is an attempt to look beyond the dominant discourse on this subject. The paper argued that neo-functionalist approach of regional integration can be of use and careful selection of functional areas of cooperation will potentially leads to Asian regionalism.
