CA-Broker - A Cloud Based Brokering Mechanism for Multi-Agent Intelligent Computing

Applying economic incentives in the domain of High performance Grids and Cloud based services are not a new area research with respect to consumption of compute resources. Amazon EC2 is a good example of applying economic concepts such as Pay per service model of computing. Technology is inherently difficult to manage especially at incorporating economic resources in service oriented architectures because it is constantly changing in an unpredictable manner. Technology management requires policy implementation and best practices that leverage technologies to be built, maintained, and enhanced towards the competitive advantage of the firms utilizing proprietary knowledge and know-how. We take a look at applying brokering concepts to a Multi-agent based Cloud computing system using Coalition mechanisms and trust based modeling of calculating utility factor in agents. Hence in this research, we propose a new generic brokering scheme termed the 'CA-Broker' that incorporates coalition formation methodologies towards incorporating communication and trust mechanisms in agents using a Cloud based Architectural schematic termed the CA-Cloud
