Calculation of electrical transport in continuum systems by diffusion simulation
We show that random walk simulations of diffusion can be used to estimate the transport properties of disordered continuum systems. Our method is based on the Einstein relation between the electrical conductivity, σ, and the diffusion constant, D. Our results are in excellent agreement with recent experimental data on composites with a binary grain size distribution.
