CAPITALISATION DES CONNAISSANCES ET TRANSFORMATION D'UNE ROUTINE ORGANISATIONNELLE : LE CAS SACHEM
This article explains an experience of knowledge's memorisation and the production of knowledge based system. Indeed SACHEM project deals with human holders and experts who are driving the working of the blast furnace. Before SACHEM know-how was only preserved in some part of the manpower. The implementation of the expert system creates a new glance of traditional know-how through its selection and explicitation improving casting performance and the working of the blast furnace. This article tries to show the state of the knowledge before and after SACHEM, the new way preserving and memorising knowledge as well the building of generic knowledge. It is important to underline that knowledge preservation is more than a simple memorisation of know how because this entails a new way of observing, updating and activating knowledge. This new way of preserving knowledge -of sharing, using and diffusing it-, allows the building of a new productive capability and a new organizational routine inside the firm.
