Centralised Consensus VS Decentralised Consensus – Lessons from the Heavenly Blockchain

Following the lives of Moses and Noah it is evident that things manifest in the spirit before manifesting in the physical world. Furthermore, the Bible clearly states that there are things hidden from humans. In the same vein, it can be inferred that the blockchain concept was passed to humans from the Heavens. The main objective of Bitcoin (BTC) was to enable peer to peer transfers without involving a Central Authority (CA). Later, there was need to create a network that will support BTC while also preventing double spending. The absence of a CA results in a decentralised system which many crypto assets advocates are pushing for. Understanding the dangers of a decentralised network, Central Banks (CB) are working tirelessly towards the development of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). Stemming from the above, the objectives of this study are to 1) compare centralised consensus against decentralised consensus and 2) use the Heavenly standard to determine the best approach. To attain these objectives, a non-empirical, exploratory research was conducted in the form of an online desktop review. From the comparison done, it was evident that centralised consensus is better than decentralised consensus. Using the Heavenly standard it was confirmed that centralised consensus is the best option. However, the lack of trust in earthly Central Authorities (CAs) still makes centralised consensus less appealing to the public
