Chapter 14. Capital as power

The capital as power approach to political economy was developed by Jonathan Nitzan and Shimshon Bichler. This chapter argues that it is an insightful and important approach that can be used to investigate and understand a variety of political economic problems associated with the accumulation of capital. It shows how the capital as power perspective differs from neoclassical and Marxian views of capitalism. It also considers some of the main contributions of the capital as power approach, its limitations and some avenues for future research.
