Chapter 5. Typology of entrepreneurship training for art students: implications for arts entrepreneurship education

This chapter explores research on entrepreneurship education for creative arts post-secondary programs published from 1999–2021. Based on these findings, the following discussion presents a typology of entrepreneurship education in terms of teaching/learning methods and delivery strategies in post-secondary programs. It contributes to ongoing discussions about what type of arts entrepreneurship education learning model is most effective in fostering business skills among post-secondary arts students. These important findings will add to existing arts entrepreneurship education research, guide institutions offering arts and creative programs, and inform future art students or aspiring artists about where to study.
