Chebyshev series solution of the two dimensional heat equation
In this paper, a computational scheme is presented for the solution of the second order parabolic partial differential equation by Chebyshev polynomials. An automated strategy of inputting the relevant coefficients of the equation and scanning a recurrence tableau gives the Chebyshev coefficients from which the solution to the equation can be obtained. Examples are given to portray the flexibility of the method.
