Comparative advantage in a re-export economy : the case of Singapore

Using the net domestic export data of Singapore, the authors assess the evidence on the factor intensity of Singaporean exports and imports, and examine the evolution of this country's comparative advantage in international trade. According to the authors, in absolute terms Singapore's exports are much more capital-intensive than they used to be, but its imports have become even more capital-intensive. (DÜI-Sen)
