Comparison of Service Value Chain in Top Higher Education Institutions and Others

Value Chain for any service is beneficial as it adds additional value to the process or system. In the case of education sector, the role of service value chain is quite similar. Service value chain is vital for education in present times when the competition is on the rise. The higher education institutions offering more value to the students would definitely lure their attention. Therefore, in this research an attempt was made to study the difference in value chains of top B-schools and other business schools so that the attitude and preferences of students could be understood. A sample of 301 commerce and management students was taken from India and Singapore using convenience sampling. The data was analysed using SPSS version 23. It was found that majority of the students had positive attitude towards service value chain in higher education. It was also found that significant difference existed between preference for the use of service value chain in top B-schools and other business institutions
