Constructing Initial Case Study Questions on Isomorphism, Diffusion and Decoupling for Nanotechnology Firms in Malaysia

In this paper, we review some theoretical propositions related to isomorphism, diffusion and decoupling to study Malaysian organizations, particularly those organizations that are currently engaged in R&D activities and doing innovation related to emerging technological applications such as nanotechnology. The objective of this paper is to construct initial case study questions pertinent to our research project that attempts to explore these organizations’ behaviors and practices in doing innovation and promoting responsible business innovation. We present the initial research questions that are appropriate for research that will deploy in-depth case study method. We further discuss the importance of our research in the Malaysian context.
