Contribution to the calculation of chemical exergy in industrial processes (electrolyte solutions)
Industrial exergy analysis is an essential tool in energy analysis. A difficulty is evaluating accurately the exergy of the substances involved in industrial processes, especially aqueous electrolyte solutions. We present a generalisation of procedures for evaluating the exergies of these substances. The chemical component of the exergy is closely related to the activities (ai) and activity coefficients (γi).
