Decision making models in politics: harmony and conflict, and allocation in economics: markets and hierarchy. Elements for a debate
This paper shows the relationships between the mechanisms of decision in politics (harmony versus conflict) and the mechanisms of allocation in economics (hierarchy versus market) by means of ideal types. Under this approach one concludes that the market mechanism in economics and the conflict mechanism in politics are more suitable for the constitution of a modern society, with a democratic, social, and decentralized state of right.
