Defining Governance for Public-Private Networks : A Computational Logic-based Approach

We introduce a research agenda that is motivated by the problem of data governance in complex value chains. Our claim is that decentralized data management among networks of heterogeneous agents, such as financial institutions, corporates and regulators, can reduce potentials of information asymmetry, thus false reporting. Digital infrastructures can in theory support decentralized data management; however, their market diffusion is not easy. We opt for a logically sound, constructive approach to argue over feasible boundaries of digitalized, decentralized data management. We illustrate and motivate our research with an industry-strength case study
