Developing Quality Mindset for Organizational Effectiveness
Quality mindset is an essential pre-requisite for long-term competitiveness in the world of business today. However, most of the companies are struggling hard to have employees with quality mindset. Such a problem arises due to lack of comprehensive understanding of the concept of quality across all levels in organizations. Besides, there are widespread ambiguities in terms of inputs, processes, and outputs. Hence, good numbers of companies are not able to meet or exceed expectations of the stakeholders leading to increasing customer complaints, reducing market share and lowering stock prices. The looming scenario can be overturned by commitment of the management to develop quality mindset beginning at the top. This paper is a humble attempt to explore a holistic path of developing quality mindset for organizational effectiveness. Literature on this theme is inadequate. Hence the authors have used their insights collated from field experiences in accreditation in education sector (first author) and quality audits in India and abroad (second author)
