DEVELOPMENT FEATURES OF COUNTRIES IN TRANSITION TO A NEW TECHNOLOGICAL PARADIGM
The main determinants of the current development of countries in the modern globalized environment were analyzed. The basic conditions for the functioning of national economies within the global trends were determined. The main features of the economies in the context of global processes were described. These features were found to include changed patterns of trade, an increased share of trade in services, an increased share of high technology products in the world trade, a changed level of public spending on the research and development work. A growing asymmetry was also proved to be characteristic of the current distribution of production of materialintensive and science-intensive products among countries of the world.
