Diffusion through a membrane with pressure-induced structure
A microscopic model of a thin membrane with pressure-induced structure has been considered. The exact equilibrium equation of state of the membrane has been found and with the help of it the isobars and compressibility have been determined. On the basis of the equilibrium membrane properties a stochastic process retrieving the properties after long time has been constructed. Next, the transport of charged colloid particles across the membrane subject to a constant pressure has been considered in the presence of an external electric field and the gradients of the membrane electric potential.
