Dis-Integrity in National Projects in Egypt a Special Case on Heritage Character Projects
The study is concerned with the missing aspects that should have been put in consideration while designing and planning public or major projects in Egypt. A number of projects failed to fulfill essential aspects, as achieving the project's concept itself, or neglecting the needs of users with disabilities, elderlies, and other human needs. Other projects neglected the surrounding contexts, where they would have successfully been used as functional, visual or cultural approaches, or other examples to mention. The study shall deal with projects of both urban and architectural scales. The paper will also conduct an analysis based on set criteria in order to conclude the reasons affecting the dis-integrity in such projects. These criteria are represented in the projects' main concept, the most effective aspects that had been considered while planning, the neglected aspects that have a strong impact to the actual use of the projects, the most effective surrounding contexts such as the political, economical, social, cultural, security, and others. Finally, a number of basic aspects to be put in consideration within certain types of projects shall be concluded, also a focus on aspects aroused of local based contexts and circumstances shall be specified
