Disaster risk awareness and preparedness of the EU population : Eurobarometer report summary

In recent years, while facing escalating threats from natural calamities and human-induced disasters, the European Union (EU) has significantly advanced its disaster prevention and preparedness framework. In this context, the Union Civil Protection Mechanism legislation was revised in May 20211 with the aim to strengthen the collective preparedness and emergency response capabilities of its Member States.
