Diversité dans l’entreprise : d’impératif éthique à levier de créativité
The present paper addresses the scientific reliability and investigates the deployment - actually, more a logical then a chronologic one - of the arguments - ethical, juridical and economical - adopted to sustain, assess and support the dissemination of the diversity policies within the professional fields of endeavor. In a Republic which does not recognize either minorities or communities, the item of diversity has firstly been addressed from the equality viewpoint. For the firms, promoting diversity has for long meant integrating through the work. Since then, the diversity issue has been enjoying more and more economical credit, translating, that way, the change from an objective which was, almost partially, external to the firms (moral duty, legal requirement) to an endogenous goal (promoting diversity can show-up a powerful vector for managerial and commercial performance and an engine for creativity). Hence, the acknowledged need to investigate - relying on a scientific approach - the impact of diversity on economical performance, mainly addressing the management, commerce and marketing issues (II). Adopted as a milestone of the pro-diversity argumentation, the likely-positive impact of the diversity of personnel profiles on the creativity of their own work-units claims for an accurate assessment (III).
