Does it Matter for Industrial Workers to be Educated in Developing Countries?

The aim of this paper is to establish relationship between industrial integration and social development in developing countries by investigating how education is related to labor market outcomes in the manufacturing sector for those countries which have liberalized. The results reveal that higher education is related to increased wage inequality when it is explained through the dynamic processes of trade. Otherwise, education may decrease wage inequality.
