Dynamic bistability of front propagation and stable localized domains in systems with first-order phase transition
We study front motions in systems with first-order phase transitions where the low-temperature phase is characterized by a larger heat production. We find that such systems are able to support bistable propagation velocities for trigger fronts and stable stationary localized domains. Analytic and numerical results are represented.
