EASO training curriculum : handbook on the interviewing vulnerable persons module

The Interviewing Vulnerable Persons (IVP) training module is an advanced module that builds on the basic module, Interview Techniques. Another advanced module in this series is the Interviewing Children module. This handbook will provide you with an overview of the key learning objectives presented in the IVP training module. The aim of the IVP handbook is to serve as a reference tool and to accompany you in the course of your work by providing the key elements of the theoretical knowledge, skills and competencies that you have acquired while completing the IVP module. This handbook is structured in a manner to help you recall and retain the acquired knowledge and skills. The key issues from each unit are presented within the handbook and you are advised to reflect on them while performing your day-to-day tasks. Such reflections are an important element of the learning process and can be further discussed with your supervisor, coach and colleagues. The handbook also leaves space to note down your reflections and come back to them in the future. This handbook cannot, in any way, replace the online and face-to-face training and is only a complementary tool that should be used after you have completed the entire IVP module. Distribution of this handbook should be limited to trainees who have completed the IVP module.
