Economic stabilisation and structural adjustment in Ghana, 1983 - 86

This article is concerned with the content and effects of the new economic policies in Ghana. It analyses the major elements of the current reform programme and assesses its impacts. The final section summarises the principal conclusions of the analysis and elaborates on their implications for the success of similarly inspired programmes elsewhere in Africa. (DSE)
