Education and Crime : An Empirical Analysis with Panel Data in Europe (1999-2006)

In the present paper it will be pointed out econometrically with panel data that in Europe education has a negative impact on crime. Panel data cover annually the period 1999-2006 for the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. The estimation of the econometric model is made feasible through the Eviews software package
