Effect of Green HRM on the Green Behavior of Employees : A Study on Service Industry
This paper attempted to examine the impact of green HRM on both in-role and extra role green behavior of employees through the mediating effect of pro-environmental psychological climate and green empowerment. The moderating effect of environmental knowledge on employee in-role and extra role behavior were also destined to analyze in the service sector of Bangladesh. This study used two stage approach of structural equation modeling to analyze the data. The study used purposive sampling method to collect data using a theoretically grounded and empirically validated questionnaire. The findings of the study showed that there isn’t any moderating effect of environmental knowledge exist between the relationship of green HRM and extra-role behavior of employees. Apart from this, Green HRM doesn’t have any significant relationship with in-role behavior of employees. The results of the study can assist industry-wide decision-making process. It will also open new ground to study other sectors
