Effects of Palay (Rice) Check System on the Harvests of Farmers

This study was primarily conducted to determine the effects of the Palay (Rice) Check System on the harvests of Barangay San Felipe Rice, Science City of Munoz Nueva Ecija, Philippines.Farmers. Data were gathered through interview schedules with the rice farmers who adopted PalayCheck System. There were 23 adopters of a paycheck. Most were males, and high school graduates. There were significant differences in terms of quantity and quality produced using PalayCheck compared to their past harvests using the traditional method. Regarding the effects of the PalayCheck system in terms of quality, the majority of the farmers who adopted the system changed their farming practices for each crop management area, except land preparation and harvests management because they had been practicing the same process before PalayCheck was introduced. In terms of quantity of their harvests, an increase in terms of expenses among the respondents was noted after they adopted the PalayCheck system, while in terms of volume of production, the usual production of 51-100 sacks of rice before PalayCheck increased to 101-150 sacks after the adoption of the system.
