Az egyetemi előmenetel és a publikációs teljesítmény kapcsolata = Correlations Between Academic Career Tracks and Publication Performance

Jelen tanulmány a kutatási mintázatokat és előmeneteli utakat vizsgálja a hazai egyetemi tanárok körében. Magyarországon az úgynevezett „soklépcsős” formalizált előmeneteli rendszer terjedt el, amely pontosan meghatározza, hogy milyen követelmények mentén nyerhető el az egyetemi tanári kinevezés. A különböző forgatókönyveket (Sztár kutató, Kiemelkedő oktató és Helyi menedzser) bemutató elméleti fejezet után az empirikus vizsgálat eredményeit írjuk le. A teljes mintanagyság 327 fő volt. Eredményeink rávilágítanak arra, hogy különböző kutatói mintázatok vannak jelen, és nagy a törés az inkább a nemzetközi publikálást (SJR szerinti), illetve az inkább a könyvírást előnyben részesítők között. Az életpályákat tekintve a PhD-fokozat megszerzése előtti aktív publikációs évek száma 6-tól 13-ig, a habilitáció előtti 15,5–22 évig, az egyetemi tanári kinevezést megelőző 22–27 évig terjed. Az évek száma az egyetemi tanári kinevezésig jól láthatóan közelít egymáshoz az egyes tudományterületeken. = The paper aims to investigate the Hungarian university full professors’ research patterns and career pathways in the various disciplines. Hungary has a so-called ‘multi-stage’ formalized hier archy that clearly defines the steps how to achieve the highest full professor rank. After a theoretical section where the different career scripts – such as Top Researcher, Top Lecturer and Top Manager are presented, an empirical analysis is carried out. The sample consists of 327 professors. Results point out that there are different research patterns and a significant division between disciplines rather preferring the international (SJR) publication or the publishing of monographs. Concerning the career paths, we found the number of years until the PhD degree ranging between 6–13 years, while the habilitation is between 15.5–22 years and full professorship ranging between 22–27 years. The gap in the number of years among disciplines blurs for full professorship.
