Enhancement of Collectivities’ Autonomy from Administrative-Territorial Units in the Management of Local Public Administration

With a distinct status in relation to the state administration, the collectivities in the local territorial-administrative units can manage themselves without the intervention of any other structures. Having local autonomy, the authorities of the local public administration have initiative and full responsibility in the administration, management and resolution of common affairs, towns, cities and counties, the latter being regarded as parts of the where autonomy is exploited. In the light of the matters presented in our scientific approach, we can certainly support the idea that local autonomy, an essential factor in the organization and functioning of public administration in territorial-administrative units, is one of the most effective forms of selfadministrative economy, allowing the rapid satisfaction of local interests.
