Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) : Enhancing and Sustaining Value

In this era of globalization and competition, mergers of business firms have combined heterogeneous systems. At the same time, individual departments have developed non-integrated legacy systems and IT solutions, representing multiple platforms and diverse technologies. This IT maturity has created a challenging organizational climate for ERP systems. ERP deployment is huge in nature, and its implementation is highly prone to failures. It is essential to establish a standard process within a business entity for assessing and analyzing the real value of an ERP investment, as well as to address the difficult challenges of assessing and measuring intangible benefits.
