Entrepreneurial Capabilities : A Resource-Based Systematic Approach to International Entrepreneurship

The development of entrepreneurial activities isbelieved to impact positively upon the economic development of developingcountries and to increase competition among businesses.Based upon theprevious literature, a "triad model" of international entrepreneurshipis formulated. Entrepreneurial capabilities are discussed, including the dual-roles of theentrepreneur as the driving force and the entrepreneur as the responsiblepartner.Based upon these roles, the "triad model" ofentrepreneurial capabilities is created, with personal capability,organizational capability, and societal capability making up each corner of themodel and ethics in the middle of the model.Each capability is discussedand the implications of each are evaluated.Other issues, such asentrepreneurial governance and entrepreneurial finesse, are discussed inrelation to ethical issues.Then, the triad model as a whole is discussed,with the model implying that the "ideal" entrepreneur would possess anequal mixture of the capabilities of the model. The impact of ethical issues is discussed, as is the impact ofentrepreneurship upon developing economies and impoverished regions.Inclosing, several recommendations are made, and the limitations regardingethical issues are discussed.
