Equal opportunities for persons with disabilities : The legislative framework in Trinidad and Tobago
Purpose This paper aims to review the latest management developments across the globe and pinpoint practical implications from cutting-edge research and case studies. Design/methodology/approach This briefing is prepared by an independent writer who adds their own impartial comments and places the articles in context. Findings Actual outcomes of the complaints fall into three categories. Firstly, withdrawal by the complainant – these cases demonstrate missed opportunities for the EOC to address inequalities within the system affecting the future and well-being of the individual. Secondly, closed by the EOC – these cases show a bounded process for redress. Thirdly, referral for conciliation or to the tribunal – these cases require additional documentation or support. Originality/value The briefing saves busy executives, strategists and researchers hours of reading time by selecting only the very best, most pertinent information and presenting it in a condensed and easy-to-digest format.
