Equilibrium distribution of the kinetic variational theory II (KVT II)
It is shown that in a constant external potential the kinetic variational theory II (KVT II) yields the correct single-particle equilibrium distribution function for a system interacting through a hard core plus a sufficiently short-ranged attractive tail.
