Evaluating appropriate technology in practice

In an attempt to determine the appropriateness of promoting biogas and Lorena stoves as small-scale appropriate technology (A.T.) activities in rural Philippines, the authors conducted a field study of those technologies introduced by U. S. Peace Corps Volunteers and their Filipino counterparts in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Cavite and Cebu. In this article the authors report on their field study. (DÜI-Sen)
