Evaluation of regions of the Czech Republic with the DEA method

This article deals with an evaluation of the regions of the Czech Republic according to selected criteria. The evaluation was realized using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) for the periods 2004–2007. Both macroeconomic and demographic indicators were included in the model. Except the evaluation, the paper also presents recommendations for possible improvements of the criteria values of the particular regions. Progression of regions within the selected years was assessed with Malmquist index.
