Evaporation Characteristics of Sessile Droplet on Copper Surface at Constant Temperature

Evaporation of sessile droplets on hot surfaces is the most important component in spray cooling and other processes. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of non-boiling evaporation of sessile droplets on the copper surface are obtained by experimental methods under the condition of ensuring the constant temperature of the hot surface. The changes of parameters such as the contact radius, the contact angle and the evaporation rate in the process of droplet evaporation are analyzed. The results show that the temperature (30°C-70°C)of the copper surface has a significant effect on the evaporation time and evaporation rate of the deionized water droplets, but has a small effect on the evaporation mode of the droplets. The volume(0.5 μl -2.0 μl) of the deionized water droplets has a significant effect on the evaporation time, but has no obvious effect on the evaporation mode and the evaporation rate. The evaporation of droplets on inclined walls (0°40°)also follows the CCR evaporation mode. The evaporation rate of the droplets is proportional to the inclination angle of the wall, and the evaporation time of the droplets is inversely proportional to the inclination angle. Similar to the horizontal wall, the volume and time of the droplets still satisfy the 2/3 power law
