EVOLUTION OF INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES' PROCUREMENT SYSTEM

The role of the procurement system transformation in the activity of industrial enterprises was studied. The changes in the company procurement system were proved to consist in the switch from the operational/transactional function to a strategically important company management function and achieving competitiveness. The basic results of such transformation were found to be the development of a loyal partnership with the suppliers, raising the procurement department status in the enterprise hierarchy, interfunctional co-operation with other departments of the enterprise to replace their dissociation. Recommendations were offered to improve the efficiency of industrial enterprises in procurement.
