Forecasting of FDI Inflow in Indian Automobile Industry

The world has witnessed turmoil in last two years due to COVID pandemic. Economies in the world faced lots of downside in growth rate, declining FDI and underperformance of economy. Indian story is also not very much different from the world. We have also seen sharp reduction in FDI and growth rate. In this century, most of the countries realized the importance of FDI inflow to boost economic conditions. FDI always generate a remarkable rate of employment and boost associated sector to make them viable. After eve of independent, India has taken over moderate approach for economic growth and development. But faster economic development was possible through only new industrial policy popularly known as LPG policy, which attracted foreign investors and financial institutions to bring FDI in different sector of the economy. This liberalized policy attracted huge FDI under foreign policy and took series of measures to make India shining. This research paper is to investigate projected FDI inflow in Indian automobile industry. This paper investigated the projected FDI for the year of 2022, 2023 and 2024 by using least square method. The overall study reveal that projected FDI will flow more capital in the Indian market and will boost the economy in multiple ways
