FranPyCisco 2022 : Network Automation & Abstraction Solutions To Simplify Configuration Complexity

FranPyCisco Automation Solution V0.5 Toolkit is a PythonV3 programmed network automation solution tool which is aimed to simply the configuration complexity in a lab environment, small scale business and can be utilised for educational training purposes as well. This allows the user to configure & extracts network information via Telnet from multiple devices at a time. The solution will speed up the configuration time and makes it easier to extract running configurations from each device while saving them to their respective formats. Users of the solution are presented with options to select the configuration process according to user requirement, run the solution on switches or routers, scan ports for a specific IP address to check for open ports. To increase usability The toolkit will be run using the latest version of PythonV3 on a Command Line Interface whereas it is popular among with the system administrators. The core-process is visualised and demonstrated throughout the final report. Regardless of the major input and output options, a code list has been implemented where each code has its respective configuration, whereas the entire toolkit consists of numerical input only. This helps to speed up the process much faster to execute configurations. The primary goal of the project FranPyCisco is to educate current network engineers, students, graduates, or another individual to make use of this technology as it helps to reduce burden, save cost, reduce errors and to move from a traditional networking approach to an automated system. Where this automation tool is a much cheaper approach compared to the expensive toolkits available in the market, comparatively unaffordable by small network organizations. The main goal is to take advantage of the in-built codes (methods) to provide the user with the best result, when configuring the devices.
