Freie Berufe im Mikrozensus I - Struktur und quantitative Bedeutung anhand der ersten Ergebnisse für die neuen und alten Bundesländer 1991
This study commences a series of elementary papers concerning statistics and Professions. It includes essential statistics of Professions on an individual level, starting off with official statistics. This study deals with Freie Berufe im Mikrozensus I - Struktur und quantitative Bedeutung anhand erster Ergebnisse für die neuen und alten Bundesländer 1991. Firstly, the special suitability of the microcensus as a representative set of statistics about the population and the labor market based on a broad design (800000 interviewed persons) for Professions research will be discussed. Secondly, the structure and the quantitative significance of Professions in the early stage of the unified Germany will be pointed out having a look at different approaches regarding the western parts and the former eastern communist areas of the unified Germany. Further emphasises and empirical results: women in Professions as well as the development of Professions since 1987 based on the microcensus. This first systematic and broad microcensus analysis of Professions during the phase of building up the unified Germany is still of a fundamental significance.
